Hi everyone, my name is Mayo and I live in the Netherlands. Two of my many hobbies are drawing and making oilpaintings. Another hobby of mine is reading fantasybooks and my favourite author is JRR Tolkien. Many of my drawings are based on his books and stories, but I also make fantasy art in general. Drawing and reading are for me oppertunities to escape from the real life, the real world with all it's wicked things. I hope you enjoy my drawings :o))

I find your stylised, medieval-inspired style very good for depicting the subject matter you choose. I especially like the Farmer Giles and all your LOTR stuff (Go -original- Tolkien art!). ^_^
20 Aug 2004	Kelly L. Johnson	Loading... The colors are very, very nice! They brighten the whole gallery and make it look happy! There are so many details in all of your pictures; they must have taken forever to do. My only suggestion would be to study up on life drawings. The ideas and stories behind your works are amazingly creative, but the faces and poses look a bit awkward / unnatural. (But I don't mean any offense if they were meant to be that way - I'm just slightly partial to realistic drawings. So I guess it's really just personal preference.) But over all, super nice gallery you've got here! I don't know how to describe it, you just have a unique flair of artistic style. grin

Maar ik moet nu gaan avond eten en me ouders worden nogal boos nu omdat k maar niet kom..maarja tot ooit!
